Discriminatory administration of justice
An overview of access to justice in Mexico and in the South Coast region of Jalisco
Abstract
The insufficient localization of the bodies responsible for the jurisdictional function in the regions is a deficiency that implies a strict and empirical violation of constitutional principles such as equality before the law of those seeking justice in terms of their access to the administration of justice. An example, which could be that of any other region of the country, is the case of a person residing in towns such as Pabelo, La Eca or Espinos de Judío, municipality of Purificación, Jalisco in the Costa Sur Region of Jalisco, who to access justice services in first instance courts must go to Autlán, Jalisco. In the example, due to the distance traveled, the money, time and physical effort invested to access courts in this region, it is interpreted as a denial of justice by omission of the State.
