Human rights of women in Mexico

Women in Mexico have traveled a significant path in the process of adequate recognition of their rights, the antecedents that exist in the ideas, stereotypes and thoughts of Mexican society have been advancing and progressing in terms of the necessary equality that must exist between men and women, however, the existing inequalities between them continue even today, women throughout the world have historically been the main victims of violence and discrimination for reasons of gender, this being such a notorious and constantly growing problem that is why international provisions were implemented with the purpose of safeguard the rights and guarantees of women around the world, this is how the previously mentioned international legal systems were born and which recognize women's a series of human rights with respect to which national laws must be harmonized, specifically in the case of Mexico there are legal systems that protect the rights of women, following the provisions of the international conventions already mentioned, however, despite the existing legislative work, The data regarding violence against women continue to be worrying, since in such everyday areas as work, family and school, manifestations of violence occur in a repetitive and alarming manner. There are federal entities with rates of violence in all areas, which reflects the urgent need for stricter measures in order to eradicate the rates of violence against women. However, it is equally essential to know the vulnerable groups of women who, due to their conditions, are at a disadvantage compared to the rest of society, since that they also suffer from violence and it is much more complicated to access justice given their specific situation.
