CRIMINOLIGICAL PERCEPTION OF THE ANIMAL POSESION IN THE DRUG TRAFICKING IN TAMAULIPAS, THE ZOO OF THE ORGANIZED CRIME

Crime in the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico; in this sense the present work addresses the issues of possession and confiscation of animals to organized crime represented by drug trafficking in the state of Tamaulipas in the period 2007-2017, to meet the objective of the study reviewed the cases served by the Procuraduría General de la República in the north of the state where it was found that the possession of animals by individuals belonging to these criminal groups is manifested as a projection of social empowerment, on the nature and the same mechanisms of formal social control, and which in turn recur in criminal conduct of another nature. Represented by a total of 12 judicial seizures and 66 insured individuals, including African lions, bears, jaguars, onyxes, antelopes, pronghorns, white-tailed deer, and others; the municipality of Gustavo Díaz Ordaz had the highest number of seizures with 7 tactical operations where 58 animals were recovered (67%), followed by the municipalities of Miguel Alemán (8%), Reynosa (8%), Tampico (8%) and Altamira (9%) with 4 tactical operations and 9 animals were recovered. So it is concluded that the possession of animals illegally allows to understand the conduct codes of criminal groups in the state.
