Abstract

Paid work has generally been considered by the economy as the only element that contributes to the national economic development of a country. However, in this paper we show that there exists a second important and usually hidden element that takes part of the economic cycle of a country: the domestic and care work, usually, carried out by women. Finally, we show that the 25th Article of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States has a gender bias.
