Abstract
The work that is put to the consideration of the reader, seeks to account for the genesis of international criminal law as well as its historical development before the creation of the International Criminal Court, including the principles of international law and established international criminal processes. by the international military tribunals at Nuremberg and Tokyo; Additionally, an overview of ad hoc international criminal tribunals is presented and it closes with some final considerations.
