Abstract

Mexican society has experienced transcendental changes, it is considered as an ideological and institutional tool, with which it has become a consolidated nation; in its timeline there have been fundamental stages such as the Precolonial Stage in which the Aztecs dominated a large part of Mexico and its administration was governed by tributes. When Mexico passed to its Colonial Stage, a smallpox plague broke out in which Cuitlahuac, successor of Moctezuma, died. In the first years of the conquest, both Aztecs and Spaniards were still collecting tributes.
