Abstract

The article presents the international, national and local legal instruments in force that seek to prohibit and punish the aberrant practice of torture in the State of Jalisco, Mexico; which contrasts with the practice of the bodies responsible for ensuring public safety in the state and under a second-generation political alternation government headed by Francisco Javier Ramírez Acuña (2001-2006).
